Thank you for the comments, Russ! I've been enjoying your podcast and have learned quite a bit about losing weight and keeping it off, proper nutrition, etc.

And as a fellow Long Beach resident, I always get a kick out of the local references such as El Dorado Park. It's like I'm listening to a friend's podcast.

I'm not surprised that you're right behind me. In fact, you need to pass me :) I wish you all the best in reaching your goal--if I can do it, I know you can. I've got two goals behind me (200 lbs. by age 40 and 100 lbs. lost) and one more to go (190 lbs.). And this year I will be running my first 5k. Not bad for a guy that used to be almost 300 lbs.

You and Jeff keep up the great work! The podcasts are informative and worth every second. Thanks again! And if you ever need someone to talk about their real-life weight loss experience and what it takes to lose 100 lbs., I'll be glad to volunteer.

Yep, that will definitely be a milestone I'll celebrate. From there the rest will--well, I won't say easy, but as you said it will give me the motivation to go further.

Congrats on winning the jeans! That's super cool :)

I know what you mean about health. As I mentioned in this post, that iPod app I've been using really puts things in perspective; everything you eat and the number of calories/calories remaining can be somewhat daunting. And I can't believe I can see the veins in my hands and arms--that's new to me!

I think it will be totally cool when you can say 100lbs lost. That will be a big motivator to lose the next 7 lbs of your goal.

Oh, I got my free jeans in the mail and because I reached my holiday goal they fit. I’m starting to feel more like myself every day. Health does that to ya, I guess =)
